Free Basic Data

Free Basic processes the photo in your browser and does not create a Blur Background cloud copy. Use Reset or replace the image to clear the active preview and result. Closing the tab clears the active page state; clearing this site's browser data removes remaining site storage and caches available through your browser controls.

AI Refined Browser Recovery

When you start AI Refined, the app may keep the working photo and non-secret task recovery information in IndexedDB for up to 30 minutes so an interrupted task can resume in the same browser. The app removes expired or completed recovery records. You can remove one sooner by clearing the site data for Blur Background in your browser.

AI Refined Source and Result Media

After explicit confirmation, the source photo is uploaded to private storage. It is available for no more than 24 hours after upload so the signed-in owner can briefly reopen the before/after comparison. The delivered result remains privately available for up to 30 days after delivery. The temporary AI-generated mask is deleted after browser rendering completes or the task terminates.

If a signed-in result shows a delete action, use it to request immediate deletion. The deletion flow marks the source and result for removal, attempts private-object deletion, and records a bounded retry if storage deletion fails. Deleting media does not change Credits already finalized for a delivered task.

If the action is unavailable or deletion cannot be confirmed, email support with the task reference. Do not attach the image.

Automatic cleanup retries failed private-object deletions. R2 bucket lifecycle rules provide a second safeguard, so physical deletion may finish shortly after an access period closes. Expired media is not returned through the owner result endpoint while cleanup is pending.

Third-Party AI Data

AI Refined currently sends a short-lived source link to Fal for subject-mask processing. Fal's request and generated-file retention is separate from Blur Background's private-storage limits. Account Deletion Requests

Account deletion is handled by request rather than by an immediate self-service deletion button. Email support@blurbackground.vip from the account email when possible and state that you want the account deleted. Include only the minimum account or task reference needed.

We may ask you to verify ownership before deleting account-related data. We will confirm what was deleted or identify record categories that must be retained. No fixed completion time is promised before verification and review.

Records That May Remain

Operational Blur task metadata is scheduled for deletion 90 days after a task terminates and its private media has been removed. Deleting an account or media does not necessarily erase every record at the same time. Order, payment, Credit-ledger, security, anti-abuse, dispute, backup, and legal records may be retained where needed to reconcile transactions, protect users and the service, or meet legal obligations. Retained records are not used to recreate a deleted photo.

Analytics or cookies managed in your browser can be removed with browser/site-data controls. Data already aggregated or de-identified may not be linked back to an account.

What to Include

Use the subject “Privacy / data deletion request” and include:

• the account email, if applicable;
• the task reference for paid media, if available;
• whether you want browser guidance, task-media deletion, account deletion, or another privacy request; and
• a short description without image content or sensitive credentials.
